Joy has been a licensed marriage and family psychotherapist since 1991. She has a varied background of clinical experience in the private and public sectors and is EAGALA certified. Joy is a graduate of UCLA and California State University, Northridge. She is looking forward to starting her new horse, Makena, as an equine-assisted psychotherapy assistant!

Lydia has been an avid rider since an early age and has been involved in both showing horses and instructing in horsemanship.  She has owned her own horses for over 30 years. She has a certificate in Business management and has worked in the past as manager of two veterinary practices as well as having worked as a veterinary technician for many years. Her work experience has included the opportunity to experience working with many youth and adults teaching archery, fishing and facilitating ropes courses.

Lydia is EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) certified and is a member of NARHA and the California Horsemen's Association.
